Can a turbo make sound like the one you get when cam chain or cam-chain tensioner is worn? You know like there is a bunch in rocks in mixer.

It sounds kind of like cam chain but its pitch is much higher. Happens after 3500 RPM, disappears after 3200.

I tried to record it but my phone doesn't pick it up, however if you stand near the bike it's damn obvious something isn't right.

FWIW I have open dump which is 63mm and about 30-40cm long, i.e. I got no muffler. This is my first turbo project and I haven't heard turbo's w/o any mufflers.

Checked cam chain tensioner, it's all good. Double checked that cam's are torqued to specs. Assembled everything back.

Probably it's the turbo.
