I watched the run on Facebook Live, however they didn't start the actual stream until he was at the 1/2 mile.  On the 1 mile, shutdown, and turn in cameras; it looked as if the bike was naked, of course those cameras were a long way away and I could easily be wrong.

I do know for sure, he lost his footing and his leg blew off in the wind during that run.

Trying to get my mind around a “very ugly” “aborted” run that’s still faster than all but 12 others (including his own) in a standing mile ....

Texas... Oh yes Texas... After gale force winds for two days we finally got a good shake down Sunday am naked @246 or so and made the decision to throw the faries on... By the time we were ready and our spot in line came to pass the beautiful lack of wind from the previous run were gone... This would be only the second pass I've made with this bodywork set up and conditions were less than "would be desired"...  In full APS mode I think most that have would agree, you have to wait for the conditions. Well, I think we were about 3+mph head cross more than I should've run in... It was a solid 5-7 at this point and I was like we've waited this long and it's the last run for us today if it feels good I'll hold it out of not I won't... Simple enough right?  We'll I over powered the first four gears not taking in to account the weight and chassis changes from the added bodywork... By now I've basically short shifted my way to the bottom of sixth just to get a feel for how upset she is our was... I mean it's all testing right??? Cross winds and this bodywork are a challenge... Out goes my left foot and leg now mind you im not one of those drag my knees in the air stream kinda guys this was forcefully removed and being the causius type I slowly rolled out to settle the chassis and came to the realisation for the ones that don't know.... DO NOT TRY TO REINSTALL YOUR FOOT YOUR KNEE IS NOW a sail... Just hug the bodywork/tail section the best you can other wise you will make the bike do some pretty nasty stuff... Once I felt "readjusted"  (left leg and ankle hugging the tail section) I dailed on some throttle for good measure... She kept going straight so again, test session accomplished and we learned some more "stuff"...  We have a great Garmin 360' video MarkP should be posting soon, make sure to take control of the videos heading and look around for yourself.
Like I told Steve and ransom we're in NO hurry to "go fast" there's a TON of "other stuff" going on the requires more attention.  We do this because we love it and enjoy one another's company and we're thankful to take as many along via the good old inter-web or in person that wanta tag along.
If anyone comes to PRI show in Indy come see us @the Ms3pro booth the bike will be there.   I will add we are very excited for the 2018 season!
Cheers fellas!
