Fitting high bars
« on: January 28, 2018, 08:50:21 AM »
Hi all, I have had to re register as I lost all my details and old e-mail address. UK here.

I have had my 2011 busa for 3 years now but due to a slipped disc in my back I need to fit higher bars. I have fitted a genmar riser and helibars but it is nowhere near enough and the cables are now at their maximum reach.

I don't have the space to take everything apart and fit it all myself so the plan is to get all the parts and then have them fitted..... Sounds easy doesn't it.

I have got some renthal bars, no problem there.
I can't find anywhere to get an extended front brake Hydraulic hose unless I send the original cable to them, so I brought a Hell replacement which I was going to send but the banjos don't look as wide as the originals....... can you help  eg   measurements or where I can get some extended cables.  I don't want to get one from Suzuki as they have quoted £70 for the long hose.

I'm having the same problem with the clutch hose, Suzuki wants ( you had better sit down for this) over £200 for the clutch hose....I got one for £35 but again the banjo does not look as wide as the original.

I thought it would be a fairly straightforward job....lol
I hope someone out there can help
many thanks
Mark

Hello from Tulpcountry Mark , are you on HR UK Facebook page /

i ride with ABM Superbikekit , and going years ago near a local bike shop and ask : do you have Goodridge on the roll.
Yes they have it and we cut 2 x 10cm longer lines for clutch and front brake.
Also pick up the banjo's with right angles , real bike shops have all type angle banjos in a box .
ALL PARTS FROM GOODRIDGE.

You can also google on : Spiegler clutch and brake lines for superbikekits.

ABM/LSL and Spiegler made all sbkits in same factory , it's you a nice decal on top .

See my settup and you can find me on HRUK/I-SHOC/H Scotland Facebook .
See my Avitar on all fb pages.
