Innovate SSI 4 plus help

I have an SSI 4 plus, I have worked with the DL-32 on 3 different bikes, but cannot seem to get this silly thing to work. Instructions are near worthless and several calls to tech( Innovate was sold to Autometer so new guys here). Now sending the darn thing in to get tested, as I cannot connect to it.
Anyone here using one??

After talking to tech support again they seem to think it may be bad, so sent it in. When it comes back, if I cannot figure it out I will let you know. Thanks!!!!

Ransom. Got it back, checked out good, turned out my software was corrupted. Got is mostly set-up, but rpm signal off coil is not consistent, jumps around. Any suggestions?
Software still has a mind of its own as to whether or not it will connect----

There is a resistor you can place between the + and the - side of RPM signal that is supposed to help. Can't remember off the top of my head what size resistor, but I do believe it's in the documentation.
How are you sampling RPM? Injector? Coil?
