Kawasaki H2 gets another 30 HP for 2019 !
« on: August 13, 2018, 10:04:55 PM »
Found out today that Kawasaki announced there 2019 H2 gets another 30 HP ! 197 crank to 227 hp ! Suzuki we know your coming but can you give us a official tease ? Kawasaki is basically letting the world know they don't plan on being embarrassed like 1999 !
You let us know a new 1000 GSXR was coming a year before, Why not give us info on a New Hayabusa the current model cannot be sold next year.

Not really crickets, mate. They watch. They listen. They have their proverbial ear to the ground and know what and when they are to do things! Rumour has it that Suzuki of Japan is working to release on the anniversary of the 1999 Hayabusa.

Oh, but they do love and remember their beloved Katana! Anyone that has ever driven, owned and or modified one knows what that means.

If... (tongue and cheek) they can get those kind of numbers out of a 588cc engine, I think achieving 250 to the Kawasaki H2's ever-increasing belt-line will be no problem at all. Honestly though, I don't think they care whether or not Kawasaki is out peeing on the entrance gate or not, they just do what they do and impress each and every time they come out with something... whenever they want to!

Wouldn't that thing be a hoot! Not only is it not naked AND fugly, but it will take your friends to school any ole day of the week!

Thanks for posting, I have been a member here  for a long time, I belive
most of the OG members are long gone, but I was thinking a few members might be around, Suzuki cares but I think there funds are not as good as Kawasaki,  or Honda, Yamaha.  The fact is there is more hayabusas on the drag strip, and land speed racing than any other bike.
Looks like there will not be a 2019 Hayabusa old or new.

Yeah, I've only been here since sometime in 2000 before the second crash were ALL of the information that was never archived... when TMH owned it, before Carl bought it from Dennis, before fish... hmm, mostly, even checking in randomly, wishing upon a star it maybe could flow like it use to be, knowing it never will,,, mostly all of most have gotten out of the game. Onto the new! Maybe the NEW Hayabusa, if that truly ever happens, maybe that will bring in a new wave of owners with renewed interests.

Lots of room in that H2 to make power.... Its nothing to get them to 270 rwhp on pump gas now.....   I think Kawi is just following along as the aftermarket does the R&D for them...

Suzuki on the other hand, just continues to stamp money with the decade old Busa….. BNGs...

They might as well do something bold. Ten years is a long time to wait for another anniversary.

No I didn't see it but... I'm sure its BS...

Broke ass Suzuki isn't coming out with shit.... Took them 8 years to re-vamp the GSXR1000 and its barely ranking in the top 3-4 liter bikes and there is a HUGE market for liters.   I believe they will continue to BNG the busa until it sales fall off, then they'll likely discontinue them.  But they still sell a decent amount of them, making money hand over fist on them, all they have to do is change paint and stickers.

All good points on Suzuki's financial situation. You can't blame a bunch of blokes in wishing good things now. It is interesting, as you say, that all they have to do is release new colours and have people walk the showrooms. I have been there, so have so many others.

I don't care how the prices continue to rise each and every year, because the thing is is that it is one sexy bitch and you will do whatever you can do to have one in your driveway with your name on it. And having it,,, staring at it in complete wonderment on its rear stand, with yourself perched upon a shop stool in the early morning sipping a soul-saving cup of joe,,, comes only second to actually riding it!!! Amen and Amen.

All great comments  ! Here is the real truth, Suzuki cannot sell a 2019 hayabusa as a previous year model with new colors, it does not meet EPA standard's, so with no news of a new model, just spy talk, Im disappointed. I always wanted to stay on a Suzuki,  but I'm glad I got a ZX14R !  One day I will be back on a Suzuki again ! Even if I build a gen 2 turbo, But I'm planning on getting a new ZL1 1LE , and tearing up some back roads and tracks. Thanks Suzuki for some great times, but if the Hayabusa does not come with some major power I'm done with the brand, I've owned a new 95 GSXR 1100, DRZ400E, 02 Hayabusa 1397,05 gsxr1000 all new, and was waiting for a new model. I will spend my $ somewhere else !
