Billet cranks on the street
« on: April 27, 2019, 06:54:40 PM »
Has anyone used a 5 mil billet crank in a street/strip motor and had good results with it holding up? If so,what size motor did you build?

This forum is dying, they dont upgrade the mile results anymore or anything, guys are old and given up hope.

But yes, 1507cc engine is very streetable , just dont go crazy with the compression ratio.

too much is it the compression?   or High compression causes detonation which beats the bearings?
WAAYYYY back in the early busa days   Stetson and DaveO built some stupid high CR 1507's   with weld up cranks

But yeah new billet cranks, with respectable CR and not Stupid cams     total blast on the street

I always wanted to try a 1507 with Stock cams and head     up to 8k it would be like my V-Max   :nutkick:

WAY more down low   even with the OVERKILL HMP Head on it
