H beam connecting rods

Sorry I know this subject has probably been well lamented, but what's been the consensus on the "lower cost" H beam Connecting rods found all over eBay. I'm running a Gen 1, with head mods and cams in a sports racer. Looking to beef up the lower end, but my current budget does not allow for Carrillo's :
Anyone with a thought?
Cheers

the people that have never tried them always say to stay away from them. The people that are using them will never admit that they are using them. I have heard alot of bad stuff about them. I have also heard rumor that there are a few well known grudge bikes that use them.
The price is very tempting. If you do decide to try them out, be sure to post your experience with them. There are alot of people here that are curious.

Agreed, hence the post asking the question. Surprisingly they are for sale all over the internet, there is not a lot of feed back either positive or negative... I guess I don't want to be the guinea pig lol
More research I guess
