I just want to add the information that I had found on this swap and share with everyone. Couple of pics also.
CBR 900 wheel to Hayabusa Gen1
Aftermarket axle and wheel spacers needed to fit (several people offer this).
Some people have used different bearings in order to use Gen1 axle but they are small bearings, hard to come by, and lots of weight on the smaller bearing.
98 – 99 wheel factory 310mm rotors easiest to use
94 – 96 wheel came with 295mm rotors, bigger rotor needed to work correctly
Talking with Brembo they found the following two 310mm rotors for the 94 – 96 wheel; 86 – vfr750 or 93 up CB1000 (the big one)
Researching for the CBR1000 I found two part numbers that looked correct to me Galfer # DF692CW, and EBC # MD1056
Brutal Performance has an adapter to mount a Gen1 Hayabusa rotor to the 94 CBR900 wheel (this was my choice due to having rotor)
I found a person (Turboguy on Psychobike) that had used a 98-99 front rotor with success on his earlier model wheel (93-96)
Brakes
Stock Gen1 brakes used with 5.5mm spacers and longer bolts to keep everything aligned and working correctly.
Tire
Tire I used (Pirelli 110/70/16 m/c 52s Angel Scooter) was purchased from Duane at Cycle Concepts.
