hello riders,,, i have an 2000 whit ext pump. the bike have been in the garage for 10 years,, have apr 60000 km on it and no issues at all during those.. no this year i started getting it back on the road.
so change sparks some coils new injectors and a new fuel pump... pikes starts and runs great, but it stops when warm. give it at minute it start and runs great... have spend alot off time reading post about it
so what i have found is that many chose to swap tank for to get a inn-tank pump....
so after reading the post, is it right that the pumps stops from overheating probaply due to low flow thru the pump ( the pump is flow cooled??) since it is pressure regulated by a mech valve i due guess that only a small part off the fuel goes to the injectors
so the regulator doesn't have to work so much for obtaining press to the injectors so even whit partly clogged filters the bike runs deasent...
so my tots, i probably didn't get a god enough clean out off the tank so the mesh inn the tank or the prefilter in the pump, and the smal filter on the fuel press regulator gets partly oppstrucktet. so it does not get enough fuel tru it to hold a low temp on the pump.
and what about the neoprene isolation, does this actually prevent the pump to not get cooled by air passing while riding, ??
i read a post that there are no temp sensor that will stop the bike, it does only stop starts the fan. is this right ??
and yes i due know about issues for side stand, tilt sensor throtle possisioner etc. and i am allso aware off that heat can affeckt el sytems...
i met a mann this summer whit the same bike he had 160 000 km on it never need for valve adj, only thing he had cleaned the smal filter located att the fuel press regulator,, so this is good bikes if threated...
