Break In Procedure for a New Bike

Hey all,
I found this page at gixxer.com and it's pretty interesting.  He talks about how the factory manual's break-in procedure is too gentle to get the most out of your bike.  His break-in is the most extreme I have seen yet. Take a look.

Makes sense, I like the part about changing the oil after the first 20 miles.  I've always done something similiar and think it really helps to get all the initial "crud" out of a new or rebuilt engine.  Some of the other 20 newsletters seem to be pretty sharp also.

Now if I just don't get inundated by "Spam"!!!

no no no no

go in and get the first oil change at 2900 miles and watch the reaction. Might as well propose surgery in a sewer
