Just wondering what kind of angle is used for positive dog-slot engagement?  I have not seen one apart and the service manual photos are not very good. I would guess that the angle is less than 5 degrees. Do racing prepped engine builders increase this angle?

This is just of technical interest (I have been wondering about this for some time).

I had my busa tranny done by them and a few of my oil cooled GIXXERs as well,I'll tell you, there one of the best,You will feel the difference,Its a more solid shift, and won't jump out, well worth the money IMO,My tranny broke in my busa with only 1200 non raced miles...I also added the billet shift shafts..

If you have the tranny done, remember to check your shift drum, and forks for wear. Also, a good idea to put in the billet fork shafts.

Had my tranny done last spring. Night and day difference in shifting smoothness.

RnD, way to go, he'll also coat the gears, had to replace the main shaft, one fork, and both fork rods with solids , $990. about 3 weeks from out the door to back at the door. may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. He will get all my tranny work from now on.

It's gonna be atleast $850.
He's gonna sell you another kryo treated, heat treated, micro polished and coated shaft too.
ASK him about the shafts BEFORE you send it.
That way it won't suprise you like it did ME!

My shit is badass tho!
