If I jack up the front of the bike off the ground under the engine, grab the fork legs on the bottom, push and pull, I can feel some slight play. If I grab the larger diameter female part of the fork legs (as far away from the headset as possible),push and pull, I feel no play. I do not think my headset is loose because the bike carves turns precisely, and I don't feel any clunking when braking.
Is this an indication of bushing wear inside the fork? I'm getting some minor front brake vibration when braking hard, but I have not checked rotor runout yet.
