I know about that responsibility stuff all too well,  :D. When things settle I'm gonna make the ride down to Richmond, you up for it?

Still got to put brakes on, had them sitting on the counter for about three weeks now.  :shock:

This has never happened before. Not taking care of old girl, she's been placed on the back burner. Last time I pulled her out she had a spider web on her  :oops:

Things will get better. At least it stopped raining every week.

Things are kinda slow around here these days huh?

Well starting to get things straighten out, went to put my brakes on and the bolts to the front calipers were too tight. I recalled the guy doing the install on the wheels had an air wrench laying beside the wheels when they told me I needed new brakes. Well I stripped 3 of 4 bolts trying to get them off. Called the guy back at the bike shop to ask if he would loosen the front bolts free of charge. He told me they did not remove the front calipers to put the front wheel on. (They are the only ones to ever put wheels on the bike since I brought it, I've always done the wheels myself.)

Needless to say, couldn't let him touch the bike again since he didn't know what he was talking about. Called J.R. down in Atlanta and he pointed me in the right direction. A set of "Bolt Extractors" later and pulled those nuts right out. Now just need to get a new set from the dealer at $6.00 a piece.

Lesson learned, never let anyone wrench on your bike if you can do the job yourself.

Set of tires form shop 270 +tax= 299.99
+20(bolt extractors)+24(new bolts)= 343.00 (+tax on bolts)  FOR TIRES MOUNTED BY SHOP

mail order217.00+70 (to mount on wheels)= 287.00   SHOULD HAVE DONE MYSELF

You never know  8)

Was out testing my new brakes and doing some emergency stopping and locked up the front wheel. Sounded like a car slammed on brakes, loud wheel skid. Scared me.  :sprz:

I have done practice emergency stopping before and never locked up the front, and sure never sounded like that before. Could have been a whole lot worst.

Well i almost got her back and running. Have new tire mounted and balanced, just got to put it on the bike. Hope the weather holds for 8 to 10 hours on Saturday. need to put some miles on the new tire.  :brk:

Was at work last week and saw a 08' busa (orange and black) that had a custom touch. Looked damn nice. Come to find out I work with the guy that owns it. Told him about the site. hope he joins up post a pic.

thanks, got the light fixed. had to solder the ground wire. was gonna ride to work at O dark 30 and the tail light was out. i always check the bike. it's been paying off lately.
