99 BUSA Problems
« on: April 28, 2003, 10:39:00 PM »
I just picked up my BUSA used with 3900 miles. The story I was told was the owner was done seeing his life pass before his eyes. The bike sat. I changed every fluid, plugs, filters. My problem is the transmission slipping, and the poping from the exhaust. Anybody HELP

Pull the clutch, look at the friction plates and steels.
If they look worn it's probably because they are.
replace 'em if necessary.
Don't forget to soak the frictions before putting them in.

Sounds like the fuel evaporated in the injectors from the summer heat and they're all varnished.  Pull the injctors and soak them or cycle B-12 chem. cleaner through them on the bike.
