I dont know the spec's, on compression, he's suppose to bring the sheet by, He said carpenter dyno'd it , and said his usually reads 3 or 4 hp low, compaired to others, . Hard tellin,  they made  a couple passes and had trouble wheelie'in and ran 9.17, then burned the clutch. I was just courious what it took to build a 1427, and what kind of problem (cooling, ect) if any people were having. They told him it should make 220hp. and run mid 8's or so.

I was thinking about doing one too. How much did it run $$$ ?   I already did the 2300.00 job he advertised on the net. What a difference!

I am not in a position to challenge Carpenter or other big name builders, but I think these big lobe centers cannot be used in a Hayabusa simply because it will not spin beyond 10,800RPM. I think it would be better tp pull the centers slightly closer together and realize higher average power from 9500 on up.

The cams are huge and the power does not drop off until it hits the limiter...I just got and ECU in today I am going to try and Dyno the bike on Friday and see what it pulls with the new ECU...

BTW A&J How much for your ECU???

ya thats the reason i told chris to set his lower
108 seems to be max to get it to start droppin off
power at rev limiters useless
you're  never are there accept to shift
avg hp within the operating band is where its at
i tried cams from 95- 117 now
and it depends if you have are under cammed etc as to where to set em
smaal cams with short duration cannot afford to lose charge in the overlap
thus higher numbers seem ok
oposites true on long duration
since of course theres alot of open time
