dead motor, help
« on: May 10, 2003, 06:33:00 PM »
To start with its a bone stock motor, with a 40 shot of dry Nitrous. I have only used the Nos about 6 times total.  I ran a couple weeks ago and the thing ran great, had 3 good runs.
Came back next week and it dogged on first run, no Nos at around 9000 rpm.  Next run it doged sooner at about 7000 rpm.  Next run it wouldnt even launch.  Got to shop and it would hardly idle.  Pulled all plugs, none wet with nice brown color. Put back in and now it wont even start.
Seems like what ever it is it got progressively worse.  I dont see any codes but Im not sure how to access to read the codes.  Any one have any ideas before I haul it down to the dealer.

Fuel pressure? maybe the pump has dumped. How about a pinched line?
previously owned a 01 blk/gry Busa little of this little of that...oh yeah and a ghetto turbo 320horse/200ft.lb. 8.92@169
Bikeless....for now.

Thought it could be that, so I pulled the air box and looked down the t-boddies when I crank it and there looks to plenty of fuel comeing in.

Found the problem, it was a vacumn hose that wasnt hooked up on back of air box.  Put new plugs in and got it started, but it sounded rough still.  Found the loose hose reattached it and now it sounds and runs normal.  Thanks for the pointers.
