hellllllllllllp,I recently installe an intake cam on the exhaust side...degreed them in (mint) the problem I now face if it is a problem is when I checked my compression it was 35 across the board cold.my cams are degreed in at 105 intake/105 ehxhaust could this be due to overlap?I don't think that busa's have such low compression when cold.....please someone help me with ideas......thanks..James

For sure, well, it shouldn't be the cam overlap to get down to 35 PSI if it is at 105/105 so unless it has no rings or valves I'd check and make sure the cams are actually set at that.
Has to be some sort of mechanical deficiency to be that low.

Have you checked your gauge on something else to make sure it is working properly???

THE BIKE WAS RUNNING MINT.......UNTIL I DECIDED TO PUT AN INTAKE CAM ON THE EXHAUST SIDE.THE INTAKE IS DEGREED @ 105 DEG ATDC,THE EXHAUST IS @ 105 BTDC IF THE CAMS WERE IN WRONG I COULD'NT ACHIEVE THESE #'S.QUESTION!!!! ARE THE CAMS FOR A 01,THE SAME FOR AN 02?.I HAVE A 02 BUT I ONLY HAVE A MANUAL FOR A 01. WHAT ALSO CONCERNS ME IS SETTING IN THE CAMS COULD I HAVE BENT A VALVE THAT EASY? I PERSONALLY DON'T THINK SO.....I WOULD HAVE HAD TO BEND THEM ALL THE SAME IN ALL THE CYLINDERS CAUSE MY COMPRESSION IS SYMETRICAL ACROSS THE BOARD........JAMES

Usually the intake starts to open btdc and the exhaust opens atdc - that isn't the way you wrote it above.  Are the cams set properly??

WELL THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT GUYS.....I FIGURED IT OUT.......THE CAMS WERE IN BUT NOT SET RIGHT,AS I RESET THE CAMS ONE TOOTH AT A TIME MY COMPRESSION BEGAN TO RISE FIRST IT WENT UP TO 95 PSI,NEXT ADJUSTMENT WENT TO 136 PSI,FINAL ADJUSTMENT IT'S AT 172 PSI (COLD)I DEGREED MY CAMS @105.I KNOW IT'S RIGHT BECAUSE THE INTAKE CAM STARTS TO OPEN THE VALVES BEFORE TDC I CAN SEE THEM THROUGH THE INTAKE SIDE OF THE HEAD CAUSE THE T/B'S ARE OFF.......THANKS......JAMES     PS.....ANY SPECIAL MAPS OUT THERE FOR JUST AN INTAKE CAM SWAP?

Good try Steve but that was singular.  I asked for the norwegian word for Teeth...

I have even spelled it in my last post but the meaning in English is a bit different than in Norwegian ?????????
