Air Shifter Problems
« on: July 27, 2003, 11:01:00 PM »
A line to my air shifter has blown 3 times.  And also when the shifter did work, It would miss my first two shifts, I had like 135-140 psi in. Every time it blew had just finished my dry hop. What pressure do most racers run, any remedy for blown line mps box to the tank.

Set your air kill for a longer amount (clockwise)and try running at 120psi.
As for the air line check to see if its running to close to heated areas on the engine. I got some good line from Parker Hanifin.

Don't go over 120 lbs..No reason to go that high..

And make sure if the line is running near heat to shield it using a piece of rubber Hose over it or?

As for the missed shifts, make sure your shifter Isn't to low or high,You want the shift Cyl shaft to be in the middle giving it enough throw for the shift..

Just to let you know..
