Race exhaust modifications ?
« on: November 14, 2003, 01:11:00 AM »
Just bought my third Busa, 99 model, completely stock bike. ( Not for long )

I am having a full "Hindle" race header pipework 4-1,  with the Carbon round race can fitted week on Saturday.

The exhaust sounds tight and loud on another Busa.
The mods being done are :
New sports air filter, busa airbox mods, remap of the ignition, tre fitted (derestictor) and the
throttle bodies are being reset:

Cost:  £690  UK money.  All inclusive.

Am I doing the right thing with the modifications alongside this exhaust ?
I am deffo having the Hindle system, although I`d have loved the Yoshi Tri-oval...( later    )
I have no more sh*ts to give.

tre isn't needed unless you plan on going faster than 186mph

you can actually map the ignition to run with advanced timing without the tre.

also remove the PAIR valve system when installing the exhaust.

tre isn't even needed for that the bike is a 99

you'll either need to block off the pair or use it to evacuate crankcase pressure. If you do neither the bike may/will backfire on decell.
previously owned a 01 blk/gry Busa little of this little of that...oh yeah and a ghetto turbo 320horse/200ft.lb. 8.92@169
Bikeless....for now.
