Yosh Cams for GSXR1000

Has any worked with these before?

i did one with yosh cams and short stacks and ak pipe
made 160 hp

I have seen one who gained 5 rwhp on cams alone.. And only lost something like 1-2 further down but that could be due to fueling.

  STR is for the RoadRace application correct? Stage 1 is for more street/Race application.

I found this somewhere and thought I would paste it:

ST-R Type-R Camshafts set
Newly designed camshafts for high tuned competition engines with kit ECU. Higher cam lift with the most adequate cam duration improves the top-end performance of the engine.
These cams are required to change the valve springs and valve cotters to Yoshimura kit ones. (See the list below)
 The adjustable cam sprockets are unbolted when supplied.

I wonder whats the duration in comparing to a big WebCam or MegaCam.

Cannot find any specs on Yosh STR camshafts. I did, however, look at the specs on the Yosh ST1, the Megacycle and the two Webs. They are very similar with the greatest difference between them being on the exhaust side, particularly duration. The SRT has been designed to be used with a Yosh ECU; they make two. One allows the motor to rev to 12,500 while the other allows the motor to spin to 13,000. I would geuss the new race intake to be around 258 at .040 and a different exhaust.

So what would happen if you don’t purchase the ecu. Less power because the stock ecu will not allow it to rev that high? In other words from a higher rpm it produce more power.

Without the Yosh ECU, the race set would simply have too much overlap/duration that could not be taken advange of  and would be unlikely to produce any more power than, say, the Megacycles at 11,800 RPM. This, of course, assumes I am right about the duration.
