« on: January 17, 2004, 05:04:00 PM »
Can anyone tell me were I can get a    "cheap" tool to take this nut off without having to pay $80+ for it from the suzuki dealer?  I am getting really frustrated with this nut                   (Big Bird where are you????)
Thanks in advance guys.

Measure the outside of the nut. Go to you local cheap tool store and buy an IMPACT socket that will be close to the diameter of the nut. Use a paint pen/ marker to mark the area of the nut you want to save. Cut away the area between the marks with a cut off wheel/Dremel/die grinder leaving a 4 pronged tool.

Or buy the set from Motorhead.

Do I need to take the nut off?  Can I tap from the opposite side, like you do the rear axle?
