Lets start cranking up the volume!

Maxton is closing fast and I've heard many rumors of some "Land Speed" challenges already.

I've even heard of some ridiculous claims of beating my Nitrous records.

Well I say  "BRING EM ON"    I can't wait to go faster than I ever have before.  Will I be able to maintain my status as the fastest Nitrous Bike at Maxton?  Who knows, but I'll be there defending my records and pushing them up higher if I'm able.

You turbo boys will be shooting for 260MPH this year and who knows, the fastest MPH has been pushed from the 200's up to 250 in just 3 short seasons, maybe we'll see even higher numbers.

Get em ready folks because the " Maxton Mile " awaits you.

We are going to try to make the 1st race, but not sure, our 60" program is more important right now, as we have a race in the middle of March, but will be there for 2nd race, turbo is ready and tuned at over 525 h.p. just have to set-up the chassis now, were getting there..

You know of course that the first event of the year has the best tailwinds.  I need all the free HP I can get.  Good Luck on your 60"

It has been a good winter for us.  Took the black #1114 NATIONAL CHAMPI0N, and almost-fastest-Maxton-nitrous bike home to Tallahassee for the winter.

Found that the stock motor was only good for a dyno RWHP of about 150, but the nitrous was good for an additional 117 HP, or 267 RWHP.

Figured that since the nitrous "loves" compression, that the high compression pistons, mild head work and better cams and valves would be enough to boost the stock moter to over 210 HP.  Figured right.

With 210 HP on gasoline, and 117 from the nitrous, we should be able to make 327 RWHP with the current nitrous setup, with another 30HP in nitrous jets "for emergency use only!"

Oh......and the winter didn't hurt the turbo bikes, either!

Oh great guru of speed, you have learned the secret.  Be mindful of the distance.  Nitrous apparently likes all those things, but for short times.  I can't wait to battle this year with the great warriors of speed.  Buwahahahaha

Scott,  I'm hoping that we should be able to push the N20 records up a few notches this year.

I know Wayne and yourself will be gunning for those records back and I will do all I can to help.  But I also want to keep you just .0001mph behind me.  hehe

Not a problem Ken,  And Wayne, wouldn't that be a hoot you beating my records with my own bike.  Yikes!!!  If anyone can do it, You da man.  I want to try my hand on one of those 400hp+turbo's in the Guthrie stables.

I just finished fitting the new low-cf tank and Nitrous system configuration.  I should have it on the dyno this weekend for the final tune-ups. I have developed some new nitrous injectors using waterjet technology to drill the orifaces in the ruby tips.  Atomizing the fuel was a problem but we used some high speed stop actions to capture what the injector was doing at different fuel pressures and output angles of the spray in relation to the nitrous ports in the injector.

Also trying some new fuels for the N2O.  It's nice to have a dyno inhouse to do these things.  We cinged a head in the process but that is what it takes to R&D stuff like this.  You have given me the incentive to be the fastest on the juice.  Everyone else is using those safe old turbo's     to get HP.  But no, we do it the old fashioned way, we burn sh_t up.

I'm also playing with cryogenics and thermal barrier coatings on components.  I'm spending way too much, this is sick.

You probably wont see me at the March event but you won't want to see me at any event this year because if you do say goodbye to that nitrous record you're holding            LOL

Wow!  Now that's what I want to hear.  Someone with enough cajones to actually think they have a chance.  Yes!!!  If anyone is going to take a record away (for about an hour), it would be the Guthrie Racing Team.  Even then, only until I load up the BIG GUNS!  Buwahahahahaha

Bring em on!!  Competition is wonderful isn't it?  But of course, you have to be there with a ride capable, and of course a rider who is capable.  Who will be riding your Nitrous monster?

Guy:  I have found that I might need a 10 pound bottle.  Have you been successful with the pair of "sidesaddle" tanks?

If I remember Waynes bike, he had the 10lb bottle tucked very neatly under the rear.  The sidesaddle 2lb'ers so far have done very nicely in keeping the pressure up for the 18 sec with the larger jetting.  With the single 2lb'er, I was going from 950lb at launch to 625lb at end.  I was using 1lb 4oz at every run.  I have been using static testing only but when I depleted the 2 bottles of 1lb 4oz, my pressure only dropped 100lbs which I can deal with in my progressive controller.  I'm going to take the chance with the side saddles and hope that my thigh covers them enough to allow the wind to brush by them. That 10lb'er has got to be heavy.

Man!  I could have sworn I've seen that bike at Bonneville years ago!  Thought it belonged to Larry Forstall?

So this is a NEW Bonneville bike?

awesome bike, will we be seeing it at maxton any time soon?? Probaly should put some brakes on the front if you dont want to end up in Laurinburg at the end of your run. Todd B.
