I have successfully fitted 2 x 10 pounders to my experimental nitrous bike ( not in saddle bags ) along with a 2 gal supp fuel tank , holly black pump ,mallory return to tank reg , 4 stages, 3 fuel and 3 nitrous solenoids 4 lots of jets all 75 HP to start with  ( not using pulsed solenoids as they stuff up to quick) designed and made all the electronics / timers as well as a shit load of safety features  3 stages of retard , the motor  kawa zx10 is almost  finished , jethot 2000 ceramic coating + other types to head pistons, valves etc  motor will make 160 hp + 300 with the N2O  she aint pretty a real home made hooptie special , will she fly or fry ?? I,ll find out soon on lake gairdner or sooner on the dyno , just letting you blokes up north know  we down under are trying hard  also this bike is a pure experimental type with some special features to enhance traction  and aerodynamics

Hawkwind,

We must have pictures of this bad lad.  You can't tempt us with your retoric, we need visuals here.  2 X 10lb'ers?  Wow!  Will she go or will she blow?  Keep us informed.  If you need someone to ride that thing, give me a call.

Dammmmmmm......That thing's got road-hugging weight on the rear wheel!  Plenty of traction on slippery salt.

It's the lean-angle that makes me wonder?  What if the bike gets sideways in the wind?

Be nice to at least see a rounded edge at the front of the paniers.

Raining here today....working in the shop....can't wait for the first Maxton meet, and to get my first OFFICIAL time slip over 200 MPH.

Guy: Post that nice picture of our two black-N- evil nitrous bikes here, so people can see what they're up against.

Got 4 (count 'em-4) over 200 MPH Hayabusa's for this year.  Gonna be a big year at Maxton:  Project 260's already sounding like they ain't gonna come (backing out?).

Oh well, I'm faster then project 260 at Maxton anyway.   Hmmmmm, and faster at Bonneville too!

We are not backing out, just find the 60" more important right now, besides Maxton is'nt going anywhere. We don't bother for points anyway, and when we come you will know because we plan on going fast.. fast

Thanks Guy  for posting those     Scott thanks for your advice I will increase the ground clearance 3-4 inches  that will give me some more lean angle ( we don't get very strong side winds on lake Gairdner )  those pics were taken 6 months ago I will get some more up to date ones  with the fairing on and all covers on not mant "sharp edges "  the pic of the salt is the start line at lake gairdner  and the salt goes for over 100 miles

Scott, thats some scary stuff I tell ya.  Hawkwind, go fast my friend and be safe.

DaveO, Lets just say that 200+hp on motor there abouts and I'll start off with the little 300+hp tune-up and go from there.

The "new" Busa is going to be pretty Kick-Ass, I think.  I will be doing something a little different with the turbo and intake system.

I expect that by March, I will have a dyno chart showing over 450 HP (not bad for Maxton).

By the season's end, I am reasonably sure the bike will have a timing slip of 248 MPH, maybe even faster!

Hard to catch Rich Yancy - he's just so far ahead.

Thanks John - I just couldn't resist a little dig at Steve.  Also, My Bonneville 258+MPH was done with ONLY 1000cc's, and turbo/gasoline, AND only 15# of boost.  And yes, that was no street bike.  It wasn't even a Bike!  Just a little home-made car.  Even had 1963 Rambler wheels.

I am sure that Steve and Larry are capably of beating my last-year's best speed of 241 MPH at Maxton.  They just have to actually show up to do it!

I have been negotiating for a MUCH faster ride for this year at Maxton ....And Bonneville.  I am confident in the Maxton ride, but I will have to wait and see about Bonneville.

Can't wait!

I was able to muster a 198 run on motor.  I thought it was impressive until the Sultan of Speed ran over 200 on a similar motored bike.  Style has a lot to do with performance and he's very stylish on those bikes.

Other folks to remember when this nitrous battle is fully joined:

Professor Vince "Vinny" Hill is a fast, experienced, intelligent and resourceful racer.  His ZX12 proved reliably last year.  Vince made aerodynamic improvements last year that made his bike better through the air than either Guy or me.  If his nitrous package cones together, he might have the first Nitrous bike over 220 MPH at Maxton-or the world for that matter!

Jim Owen is perhaps the only rider to put a ZX12 nitrous bike over 209 MPH at both Maxton and Bonneville.  And is a member of BOTH 200 Clubs

So, if Jon Wennerberg (Maxton 200 MPH Club member)gets his ZX12 cookin again, we might have a VERY respectable ZX12 contingent to chalange the ruling 'Busas.

I hear the hoofbeats already!
