I went to Maxton 3 yrs. ago and started out with a 16/40 gearing and was hitting the limiter before the traps and went 183 mph, which I knew it was going to be from top gear dyno tests.I then changed back to the stock gearing 17/40 and ran 188 mph which was my best, the bike was showroom stock, airbox, exhaust, height, and mirrors.Iwas going for Scott Gunthries record of 192mph all stock, but the weather was way to hot 98 and humid. My bike was making 160 hp on the dyno so If you have a pipe and you drive it you should hit the 190's,I would bring a 39 and a 38
rear just in case you run out of gear. I ran another busa with the intake cam on the exhaust side and a pipe,he said it was making around 175 hp and went 197 mph so you could theoretically be in the middle.Theres alot of variables though weather conditions and how big you are and how good you tuck. The most important thing you want to do is short shift 1st and 2nd at 9000 rpm and bring 3,4,5,to redline cause you want to get into top gear sooner.Try 1 and 2 first then goto 3rd and see how you do.I went there shifting every gear at redline just like I was dragracing till someone gave me a that advice and then bam 188 mph,it worked. You see you can short shift 1,2,and possibly 3 and you still have enough torque to pull hard in 4th.It worked for me hope it works for you.
