:?: Can someone please answer this ?  How much HP does it take for a 2004 Busa to make a 200MPH pass @ Maxton with a 250LBS rider on it? :?: [/b]
04 Limited W/ cam mod, air box mod, TRE, Micron full race system, lowered, undertail, side-mount plate holder,Zero Gravity D/B shield.

depends on where the 250 lbs is located..   :lol:

  aero drag...

i guess between 220 and 240

that is interesting, on lake gairdner ( Aussie salt lake ) it takes 186 RWHP  to achieve 204.8 mph , a completly stock  ( no alterations or additions ) achieved 196.4 mph  at aprox 200 ft above sea level  higher powered bikes went marginally slower with lots of wheel spin

The guy I was racing with at Maxton that ran 202+ had Scott Gutherie's bike. I only know what I read, but it looks like they used a 100 SHot on a bike that made at least 160 HP for at least 260 HP and the guy was not a heavy weight either (Maybe 175 max). So I would say that you need about 250 HP at least to get there in a mile and 300 to really be safe.

Remember, this is not the power needed to get to "Top" Speed, but the amount of power you may need to do it in "1" mile or slightly less :!:
