GSXR 1000 motor question
« on: May 27, 2004, 08:33:12 AM »
I am builidng a 2mm motor for my '02, it will be 13.5:1, Yosh stage 1 cams, slight headwork.  I am however, looking for very few headaches with this project(aren't we all  ).  Is that compression going to be too much for a daily driver?  Can it be run on pump gas?

I have gotten mixed reviews from shops regarding nitrous on this motor.  One told me they could spray 100-150 wet on that type of motor, the other said wet will create too much cylinder pressure and that I should stay with 30-50 dry.  Who is correct?

With juice, will 13.5:1 be a ticking timebomb?  I ran a 60 shot dry with an A&J controller on the stock longblock before I decided to do this.

Should I lower the compression or what?
