What's it take for bonneville?
« on: June 06, 2004, 04:46:09 PM »
Just wondering just as many here probably do, what does it take to pass tech inspection to run at Bonneville basically? I'm not looking for 60 pages of rules. I'm looking at roughly what needs to be modded, saftey wired etc on a brand new Busa to make it legal to run.

Snell helmet95 or better, as far as the rest, bring shade, tarps, spare parts, extra sunglasses, good attitude, patience and lots of understanding, cash and lots of it tow vehicle and partner, air, power, water sprayer to get salt off of bike, lots of water 8)
chains, tools, tires, friends 8) ,  chain guard must run from one end of the chain to the other, the guard must go past the rear most part of the chain on the sprocket.  What class and we can tell you a little more.. or what bike size and eng, blown or unblown? patience and lots of understanding :D , that is the most important..

might just run a stock bore or as close to stock bore (as allowed) Busa. I want the experience, not looking for a record.

The only good news is that the AMA Race there will not have the same Leather issues!

If Peggy and I are not in South Africa in September, we are seriously thinking about making that meet!
