you still need to swap the crank pickup wires as the polarity changes with the new stator wheel

I never switched my 2001. Seems to work fine. ???  Never measured the Polarity of the pickup.  Busa2001 also used stock configuration I believe.

hmmmm weird, never had any high load high rpm ignition issues?  Just looking at the teeth on the rotor they are opposite each other, i know my 00 runs fine at part throttle with it either way, but i assumed i would have issues with it at high load high rpm stuff.

Could it be that the 01 computer although 16 bit, is pinned out like the 02-07's?  Kind of like a transition year to support the new harness to be used on the 01-07 bikes.  I see that 99-00 used a different computer than the 01 and the 02-07.

Update 31 MAR - I have ran the bike a few times and there does not seem to be any issues.  I have not swapped the crank pickup wires underneath the tank and the times it has been under wide open throttle (up to 10K rpm) there has been no hesitation so I will monitor.

I confirmed with Busa2001 that the polarity is the same on the 2001's and the 2002-7's so no swap is needed.  I have the had the bike down the 1/4 mile about 10 or so times and no issues although a driver mod is needed.  :(
