Shannon is a fine example of Texas lady. She's worked hard to get the Texas Mile off the ground and at the end of the month I look forward to being "in the zone" and taking my baby out to Goliad for some lessons from the landspeed vets.

Scott are you going to grace us with your presence in Goliad anytime this year?

BTW - Would you happen to know where I can find any of these already prepped? shaved street Z reated tires up to 250 MPH.  I'm a highspeed pilot that knows my limits but I have no idea where to get these. Is there an appreciable difference between the 2 sizes (190/200)?

I've seen the "shaved tired thread" but haven't seen a website or phone number of someone that I can just pickup the phone and order a tire that meets that specs that are called for for the Busa to run up to the 250 level. That's what I'm looking for. Goliad is but a few weeks away and I'd like to have my bike 100% ready to go the week before and not wait for the last minute.

I'd also like to know how many runs I could expect from a shaved tire. Is is pretty much used up on one weekend of racing or one day? Should I show up with 2? Questions, questions, so many questions...I thought that I'd be safe showing up with a broken-in stocker. They've held up quite well on the highspeed runs I've done in the past and I have great confidence in them...but rules are rules and I don't want to get told "I can't" after going through so much to get prepared.

Whether it's "shaved" or worn down - it's the depth of the tread that is left that counts.

So a shaved tire is essentially a used/worn tire in english? Okay, this is a start.

Basically - the reason to "shave" the tire is to remove tread (weight) so it won't "chunk" under high centrifugal force (high RPM).
