*** Need tire advice ***
« on: August 09, 2004, 04:02:49 PM »
If you was suppose to  give it a "try" and drive around 250mph-270mph straight forward on asphalt, with a McXpress tuned Busa (street legal and open chassi).
What tires (brand/compound) would you choose and why?

We had some really bad experience with our tire choice last year and dont wanna do the same misstake.
And after visit this forum alot lately, you guys seems to be the right people to ask :)

Best regards / Hittis

Tell him if he runs that tire it WAS good knowing him..do not run a drag/ street tire for top end runs..

I only have this question though about the Shinko.

What kind of numbers were the WSB and GP guys making using it as the original Yokohama 003? There was a previous discussion I had started about verifiable or first hand knowledge inregards to failures with the Shinko on the rear. there were no negetive responses. not even from the drag guys. So, why is this tire so inferior? DOT rates it as a ZR speed rating, so why not use it on the salt, sirt or asphault?

for the record, I wont be using it on Mirage or Bonne...

Yeah John thats what I told him
He argues that it is a z rated tire and that is as high as it goes so anything he buys is"only" going to be z rated
