Help Posting Pix!
« on: August 25, 2004, 08:05:26 PM »
Sorry, I know this has been asked to death but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  First of all, I'm posting from a Mac.  I uploaded my jpeg pic to Snapfish, copied the URL line and pasted it in a new post here.  I put the copied url between two "Img" tags and submit it.  All that goes is the url and the tags- no pic.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you copy the complete url...Sometimes you have to scroll down to get the whole thing...It ends in .jpg...I didn't see it on your orginal post...

Thanks for the responses.  I'll check out Photobucket but in the mean time...

The url I have posted for Snapfish takes you straight to my pic- there is no .jpg at the end of the url and I am definitely copying the entire url.  There may be some funky Mac/PC thing going on here but I'm determined to figure it out even if I end up using Photobucket.  Any other ideas guys?

Busa- on top of my websites, I also use http://www.smugmug.com which seems to have a good reputation, and is also designed for use with message boards.  You can upload any size pictures and then when you look at it on smugmug, right click it, and hit 'properties', it will show you the address of the picture.  That's what you can cut and paste.  Should work, I use it here all the time since this is one of the few message boards where you can't attach file.

Here's mine. --> http://www.pashnittours.smugmug.com/  I paid $100 for the professional version, but I believe you can set it up for free with a basic service.
