.062 wall aluminum tubing strong enough for brake arm?
« on: August 29, 2004, 10:44:24 PM »
I welded up a a new stay arm for my rear brake out of .062 wall 3/4" aluminum box tubing. Its nice and light but it occurred to me that before I put it on I ought to make sure its not going to come apart at the worse possible time.

Anyone here know anything about that sort of thing?
Red/gray turbo 1397 Busa for the track.
Black stock ZX14 for the street

When people ask about the 14, I always enjoy telling them that it's my slow  bike.
