I heard old John Noonan had fast time for the day at about 203.The salt is very wet and traction a BIG issue.Hope it dries out more for everyone.

he made jon my bro proud, by staying on the bike..

jon called earlier and used Gods name a few times
describing Hank's efforts at giving jon some nice
camera shots,  Hank was gentleman enough to show
him both sides of the bike, a few times, in rapid succession
at speed...................

10,000$ for fastest sit on pass this meet...........be careful

I left the extra lead on from speedweek.BIG mistake in wet salt.I did get one pass in at 6:30 pm,and came VERY close to being spit off.I tried several ways to make it go in a straight line, but at about 165-170,it goes into "metronome mode" no matter what.John had his hands full also, but did manage to go over 200 to be the first to do it at the meet. The high HP streamliners did not run,and may not.It is weird heading down the salt with
water puddles and small potholes to dodge.Time to change the suspension set-up.  8)

Brian, bring about 10,000 hair dryers and a  1 megawatt generator, maybe that will dry the salt off!!;)

Hank, hang onto that sucker, I've heard that getting thrown off at triple digits ain't no fun!;);)

There are a couple of stock Busa's that belong to some brothers, that ran today.

One ran 159.??? mph

The other ran 160.??? mph

Salt conditions were just plain dangerous through the timed mile, due to the wet salt.

The Ack Attack streamliner flopped onto it's side at, I believe they said over 270 mph, but the driver was unhurt. It's powered by two turboBusa motors.

Hank recorded that fastest conventional bike speed of the meet at 218.964 mph. Which was enough to win.

Congrats buddy. :thumb:

I can tell you guys from personal experience, Hank's black turbo beast is an insanely powerful bike.

Thanks again Hank, you're the best. :beechug:

ack Attack streamliner actually flew in air about 10 high for some distance went thru timing traps at 279 mph. Jimmy Odum driver was ok, was even at the little banquet last night. The liner is powered by two hayabusa's, single turbo.Minimal damage to liner which is just by well design. Hard to beleive a crash at that speed the minimal damage it sustained.

Two cusions brought two stock hayabusas went 159 and 160.

Hank is on his way to el mirage for his rookie passes there then back home.

Noonan will attempt one more pass today after wheelers attempt.

Thanks again Brian for all the help.It was a wheel spin special. Both John and I saw speeds in the 240 area on the run up(which was very damp and bumpy),and the timed mile was VERY soft. You would lose 20-30 mph in the timed mile.It was fun to see John and Michelle,Jon,Mike,et al again.
Once again, the (in my opinion) fast sit down--Larry Forrestal--was the victim of bad luck with engine or electrical gremlins. It was VERY close and could have gone to John.Pure luck on this one.I did get in to the 240's on damp salt,so that hurdle is past.Dennis's 247 is still there, but OG is flying, and I hope the salt drys out for World Finals for all of us.

Of course Jon, (Landracing) has the details correct. Cool to see you again Jon.

All I heard on the starting line, was that the Ack Attack streamliner was on it's side, and that after it came to rest, the driver got out, and was doing a dance. Very happy to be alive, and in one piece.

The announcer referred to the two cousins as the "Busa brothers". Both riding what appeared to be bone stock '02 Se's.

It was also cool to see John Noonan, and Michelle again.

The only thing that could have been better, were the salt conditions.
