Tryin..  I used to never get outta the 1.76 range and it seems like my latest "hump" is the 1.62 60' and the 4.20 330'...  But it's getting there -- slowly...  My 1/8 mph is almost always 116 and the 1/4 is almost always 144...

You have to get it wide open quicker. Mine was running 118-119 in the 1/8 and 145-146 in the quarter. Put a jockey on mine and he went 152+ :shock:.  He didn't have a good launch since it was his first time ever on my bike. He still went 9.24 :cry:

Chocolate -- was that on pump or Nutec/VP stuff?  Mine was on 87 octane...

That was on VP Ultimate 4. Best pass on pump gas was 9.54 but that was stock wheelbase, 1.55 60ft.

Something else was in play; there is simply not that much difference between the two set-ups in an essentially stock motor.

Because you are saying your 1397 only makes 187rwhp...
You should be running 154 at your weight with a 1397...

I HAVE 1397 13-1 WITH PORTED HEAD AND CARPENTER 385 "S  THEY ARE SET AT 112/112  200HP  8.94 @ 155 MPH   8.62 @162 ON JUICE

OK LET ME FIX THIS THOSE NUMBERS WERE COMPARISONS BEFORE THE PISTON KIT..
HOWEVER I DID HAVE PROBLEMS GETTING HARDLY ANY MORE POWER THAN THAT WITH THE 1397 FOR AWHILE..

IT MADE 173 WITH JUST TWIN INTAKE CAM SETUP THEN IT MADE 183
YITH JUST THE YOSH CAMS .. WITH ME SO FAR?? THEN I ADDED THE 1397 AND IT MADE 187 WITH MEGA CAMS.. SINCE I HAVE SWITCHED BACK TO YOSH CAMS AND ADDED A LITTLE HEADWORK.. AND NOW THE BIKE MAKES 210HP.. THATS THE HISTORY ON MY BUSA.. AS FAR AS CAMS GO ANYWAY..

Just installed the 385s and WOW the bike feels a lot stronger than it was with the Yosh cams...

I know dynoing it is the true test, however, I'll bet my check I gained some ponies... :wink:

I might take it to the track tomorrow night and see what kind of mph I've picked up...

what coms for it and degreeing, with a little racieness to it????

But giving max potential and performance. And Yoshi or Mega?
