he did, SKPS went a tick faster on average.

he hurt the motor in the first mile on his return run, so no record over 250mph this year.

congratulaions. your drive to get your AA was tenacious. again, congrats.

Fireman,  telling John it wont be long now, is like telling
a guy who climbed Mt. Everest 5 times and slipped after going over
the crest to plant his flag about 0.75 meters from the top,
that he will get it soon..............

if you knew how hard John has worked for a
250 world record (ie a 250 mph flying mile or kilo),
you might not say that,          close...........yes

elusive..............BIG TIME..........right Minonno, Forstall/Knecum,Hank/Dennis???

Scotty what you did was awesome at Goliad and Maxton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but you cant welcome John into a club you are not part of.............
(AA at Bonneville)

WAY TO GO JOHN,  fastest sit on flying mile ever!!

Thanks to everyone, when I started out Land Speed Racing I had set three goals, Fastest open wheel motorcycle record at Bonneville and El Mirage.  Entry in to the 200 mph clubs (El Mirage and Bonneville) and to earn our AA license ( approved to race at speeds between 250-299 mph )  now that I have met my goals I will work more with helping others that have the same desire and determination that it takes to make this happen reach their goals/dreams.

I want Hank to get his AA as he puts in much more time, effort, and resources to help others.  (myself included) Hank also saved us a great pit spot and his crack "team" was at the ready if anything was needed.

This could not have been done without Michelle, she is the inspiration that keeps me going, when I went through the 2 1/4 mile mark I looked at the GPS and I saw it read 250 mph I knew that I had accomplished my goal and that Michelle would be as happy or happier than myself, I think I started tearing up at that point and still had a few miles to go.  When I saw the 256mph top speed reached on the on-board GPS I realised that I had finally conquered Bonneville!

Troy (RZ350) did and AWESOME job! !  (maybe Hank will give you the"good" bearings next time)  little bugger got in to the highly regarded Bonneville 2 club! Way too GO ! !

Seb it was good to see you, it has been some time my friend, I miss the"old School" jams while working on the turbo bikes, tell Stacy hello and give her big hugs from Michelle and I. For anyone wanting the best saftey wire job please see Sebastian at NLR, thanks for the help..

Jon Amo (LANDRACING.COM) thanks for opening your "home" for a few hours after a straight run to Bonneville for a few hours of much needed sleep. also thanks for the great deication that you have covering the races at Bonneville, when are you coming to El Mirage?...

Richard and crew from Southwest Superbikes ( Patrick and Joe) as always good to see you and thanks for the help while in impound, you guys are great and I can't wait to see you out there with your new Turbo bikes! !  Good Luck..

Congrats to Jim Odom for his entry in to the 300 chapter of the 200 mph club in the Mike Ack Attack streamliner, nice record and I am glad to see you keep it up..

Gene and Betty Burkland, you set history and took a highly coveted record, you earned it !!

SCTA members, racers, officials and volunteers, you guys and gals are the best! !

Well that's about all I have to say besides thank to many friends and sponsors. :beechug:  :kickass:  :thumb:  :moped:  :joker:

and to clarify....

yes Scotty G. you are right,  you guys are in the
250 + club,  awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I just cant help but make the distinction of those that
do it on the salt, in a "different" league
(Minonno, Knecum/Forstall, and now John Noonan)

Congrats all

Joe,I do know how hard he has worked at it.And seeing how far he has come in a relatively short time in his landspeed racing career ,and because he is so determined ,I am sure it will be soon.

From Landracing.com, pretty nice ticket there Mr Noonan

I remember on the radio "Mr Noonan request 3 times tickets please"...

I am one of only two people who made it to all four events on the salt this year, it was a pleasure to be with, be a part of, talk, bullshit, or help all who were trying and did go fast..... I love you all lsr racers and I can only imagine next year already..... Maybe a TV show is coming for the first 250+ record at bonneville, there are four major players with a little drama could be a good show...
