now a busa motor into a 600, factory d-cals, hide as much as you can put a quiet exhaust on it stretch the swing arm 1-2 in. and go hunting ltr. bikes....................now that sounds like a good time...............aaaahhhhh the look of disbelief would be worth the coin.................

just a note to those interested. I have installed a busa motor in both a GSXR 600 and a 1000, I do not sell a kit because I make all new motor mounts and dont require a donor busa frame. all mounts are made from billet aluminum and welded. if anyone is interested contact me at Busa_Inc@webtv.net       p.s The GSXR600 "babybusa" was done by me not Lee's in Charlotte,NC ......

We can do it but we don't have a kit we actually use your motor mounts! We reloctae everything to fit! 800.00 and you provide the motor! We have done 6 of them so far!

Just curious, any difference doing the 1000 or 600?

Other than Motor mounts and engine wouldn't you also need the ECU and wiring harness from the Busa? Any other things needed?

What does a typical custom conversion billet motor mount set cost?

$800 is a good price for all the electrical, mount mod, and plane hassle.  :D

You all got me thinking way to much!

I dont sell motor mounts as a kit because I remove all stock mounts and make and install new billet mounts for for each application. and also trim out inside of frame for motor to be level and at correct height for true chain alignment and enclose inside of frame where it was clearanced inorder to keep the strength. and basically I did do the 600 & 1000 on the same idea for mounting the motor.....

alright my question is i read somewhere that the gixxer 600 frame needed to be cut and reweld,.the gixxer 1000 has a wider frame hows the mods different with a busa motor in a 600 compared to 1000 cc frame.iam interested in a busa engine in my 1000 frame.does the busa engine slide in with a minor mod?cause iam woried about the frame being weakend by all the cutting and welding.oh yeah iam planning to put my velocity kit from my 1000 to the busa engine.

yea i dont think i can use gixxer tranny with busa engine.i called the dealer and they said that they dont sell long block busa engine and i need to buy the engine piece by piece, just the block is $800.no rods cranck or bearings.but like i said i am going to be doing this.when my engine blows up or what ever happens to it,i ll have the busa engine ready for install.and i figure sense the busa engine is out ill get a stroker and big bore kit.i think it comes somewhere around 1500cc or so.till then i need to buy parts.may be a year or so,i dont know but iam going to be doing this.just matter of time.

What about the electrical, and which ECU do you use Gixxer, Busa, or Both? or Gixxer with PC piggy back? Thanks for help as i might be picking up a 2002 600 gixxer for a good price.

i would thing ecu and wiring has to come from the busa sense it has different map compared to 1000 or 600.its pretty much like having busa internals in the gixxer frame.lots of money.

I did use the Busa wire harness on the 600  did a clean mount of the busa gauge cluster on it and put the internal fuel pump from the Busa in the gsxr 600 gas tank inorder to keep same fuel pressure and volume....

I did also use the busa radiator and mounted another fan on right side for extra cooling...the only difference in motor size is deck height of head which makes top 4 mounts a little off but can be modified to fit since it is only a very small difference but if you start with built motor there would no problem at all...
