wet shot / co2 shifter and progressive controller?
« on: November 23, 2004, 11:09:58 AM »
To avoid explosion of the air box when using a kill/ co2 shifter with a wet kit the fuel/nitrous need to be off for the kill time. Whats the easiest/best way to do it? And if you want to use a shintz progressive....you d have to have it think it never shut off....or the time/ % would start over wouldn t it?

Seems like it can all be done with wiring , am I missing something, is it esspecially harder then it appears?

I run my controller in "resume" mod, so if I get out of it the controller continues from where it was
I use a airshifter to shift at 10500 and a Harlan window switch turn the spray off at 10400.
nitrous is not really off that quick tho
I just want it off before the limiter

I'm running a Wet NX with Schnitz progressive, and retard unit with MPS kill and airshifter. I'm squirting the heck outa it (100hp) and not having problems at all. What's the issue?

I  haven 't had an issue, I ve only heard of it. I have a wet system to put on but have heard that when spraying and using a kill that when the kill comes off that the extra fuel and nitrous in the intake can explode and effectively make your  air box go boom too....I would assum if bad enough damage to the TB's as well, just like a back fire on a carbed car.

I use the cheapy two dial schnitz box
What causes the explosion is a backfire
killing it for the airshifter just gives a loud POP out the exhaust
