Welcome to the board!!

What bikes if any have You ridden so far??

I would learn on a smaller bike, and maybe alot cheaper Bike if You dont already know How to ride??But I have seen Woman ride Busa's before..I actually have a Buddie Who's wife only rode a 600 before and Now rides His Busa!!

But its a heavy bike, depending on Your weight? You might want to consider a GSXR instead!!

Which ever You decide..Good Luck and ride safe!!

Ps. Don't forget the Rule here,When your new You have to post a pic of Yourself so We know Who were talking too!!

You should get a yellow Kan O Tuna! That would suit you fine.  :D

Sorry Cookie, that is not me(Kat). I didn't blow you guys off.   Had to discuss things non-motorcycle-ish with the pops. But I should be getting mine on Monday, if all goes well.   No kattana for me thanks.

Welcome. All I could say is depending on your size, a busa may and may not be the bike you are looking for. If your a smaller person you should check out the Kawasaki zx10, thats a littler bike and has serious power.

As for the picture of yourself, thats up to you. I've been here for 3 1/2 years and have probably seen 25 pictures of these guys out of 5000 or so. My guess is they are too ugly to photo   If you are new here like I said welcome and no matter what bike you get, alot of people here can help you. If you aren't new, guess I took the bait. :cussing:

Welcome SlikChick - glad to have you on the board.

To echo comments already submitted, the Hayabusa is a superb motorcycle for any expert rider looking for something fast, comfortable, and loads of fun.  The bike is blind to gender; if you have excellent skills, there's no reason not to get one.  The bike is utterly intolerant of rookies and fools, so if you are still on the learning curve in terms of your riding skills, you should pass on a Hayabusa until you can honestly look yourself in the mirror and say you are an expert pilot.

Having said all of this, the 'Busa is a big motorcycle.  You need to factor that into the equation when deciding if it's the right bike for you.  If you have excellent riding skills, and if a big bike doesn't deter you, then go for it.
What is good?  To crush your enemies; to see them flee before you; and to hear the lamentations of their women !

Hey guys....thank you for the warm welcome and for the great advice!

Geez....I AM new here for all of those that questioned it. I thought for sure ONE of you guys would have checked the IP address or something to confirm that. LOL.

Anyway....I am only 5'2" so as many have said, I don't think I will be able to handle something that big.....(guys get your mind out of the gutter, I'm TRYING to keep it clean, haha)

I have been around drag racing, cars that is, for the last ten years and love the adrenaline rush of going fast quickly. I thought I would try something new but I think I need to take baby steps first with a lower key bike.....

As for the picture...you'll have to be patient....

If you were to get one you can always lower it to fit you. They look the best when they are lowered.

There is a cool chick on here (Rickster), that is about your size, and she has a Busa. In fact, she has ridden over 200 mph at Bonneville.

But the Busa is not a bike for Beginners.

Welcome aboard.  :)
