There is a cool chick on here (Rickster), that is about your size, and she has a Busa. In fact, she has ridden over 200 mph at Bonneville.
But the Busa is not a bike for Beginners.
Welcome aboard.
Hi, Brian!
Actually I'm a 5 foot runt. The main reason I bought a busa is because it was the only bike that I could ride with my feet touching the ground. I lowered my busa about 3-4", and that has definitely affected the suspension and maneuverability; they both aren't what they could be (it also bottoms out sometimes when I hit a dip). And I hacked away at the kickstand so much, it looks like a black party weiner. Fellas, try to refrain.
Don't get me wrong; I love my busa and I wouldn't trade it for any other bike, partly because the power/speed are unparalleled, partly because I'm a poser and I like being a chick on a busa. There, I've said it.
But sometimes I do wish I had a lighter bike. I couldn't find a lighter bike that I could lower enough; they are like riding a horse.
My suggestion is that if this is your first bike, you might want to start with a 750 or a 1000, because if you start on a busa, you may get spoiled on the power and you may not appreciate the power a 750 offers. Unfortunately, I can't because I've turned into a power/speed whore, plus I live with a gearhead who let me ride his turbo busa, so I'm screwed.
