The January '05 issue of Cycle World has an article about the the event.

Not as much detail as I would've hoped for, but still pretty cool.

Including some pictures of the Ack Attack streamliner crash.

fuuuckkk cw,   a freakin motorcycle magazine,  covers
a landspeed racing event and NOT ONE WORD on the
fastest conventional motorcycles at the friiikkkken event

disgusting, stupid

I doubt I will renew that subsciption or any of the others,
I find myself disinterested EVERY time they arrive,  EMPTY
journalism, except for selling accessories, gimmicky crap,
choppers, and nearly unubtainable exotics........

I was wondering why they mentioned the two bone stock 2002 SE Busas from oregon. But not the two fastest conventional bikes of the event, namely Hank, and John's bikes.

At least they did mention the death of one of my riding friends, Chris Draayer, on page 102, of the Jan. '05 Cycle World.     :(

Glad you like all the busa and other sportbike hopup work we have been doing. I write for both of those magazines and we are always trying.

If you have ideas for good articles email me.

I am always looking for cool stuff

I guess I should have been more specific on my type of stuff. I mostly do project bike articles, how to do something etc. Which means I usually have to at least ride the bike for a while or build it/add it to one of my bikes. Otherwise I dont think I can give the readers an honest opinion on it.

Anything can run good for a day or two, but if I live with it for a few months I feel pretty good about being able to present a fair assessment of the mod/bike etc

I do very little race coverage, team write ups etc. I am more into the STUFF rather than the people and racing. Though I did one AMA season wrap up article this year for one of the mags. Its not really my style though.
