MH, uh yeah your pits were immaculate............after the
wind storm..................:)

(ours were not any better)

its best to keep the pit area in your trailer........

for many years I NEVER saw Guthrie, and never saw his pits.......

realized later that real racers like him are either, making adjustments in
line, making a qualifying run, making a backup run, or in impound
getting measured or waiting to make a return run---------the pits are something to drive past on the way to impound,  the place must be the pits cuz the people there are always taking stuff apart...................

I'm not sure of the details, but I believe Rickster (riding BiggerDannos bike) already did that at Speed Week, Aug. '04.

from what I gathered, she made 190 and change before pushing a head gasket.

I heard 205 mph, but I don't know the details. Whatever, I'm not trying to be critical at all. Just stating what I thought I heard.

See you at Bonneville.   8)

Rickster and Danno both did awesome, hard (UNSAFE) to ride a short bike at speed IMHO

She ran 196.xxx officially timed, 205 exit on GPS (exit lights weren't hooked up due to moving course one mile) She started that mile at 168...

I never really found out whether the short wheelbase was going to be much of an issue as it did not start "waltzing" until 220 with the short wheelbase, that also happened to be the fastest speed for the bike due to other problems.

Hey John you posted your gps speed on many an occassion and we didn't question you...  :D

Actually, my "timed" mile was 196, but I did reach 205 on gps exit; got pic and strangers around to verify it, and no reason to lie b/c I'm not trying to break any records.  I am a poser, however, so my 205 racks up my poser points through the end of 2005.   Yes, as far as I know rickster is first chick to go over 200, but not official.  Still the baddest chick on this site though.

Yes as I said you/ricky ran 200 plus however BBB wanted Verifiable timed results (TIMESLIPS) over 200 mph and not on the street or dyno.  I have been questioned about my claims that is why I post the pictures..

good to see you and Danno both post about this subject. This has been in my sites for about a year and a half now and I was worried as hell you guys might get there first.

Congrats Rickster for the 205. I don't doubt your GPS at all. We just want our slip. We hope to be done in time to run the Texas Mile and if we aren't done or weather plays a factor, we will make the very long trek to Maxton, the second meet of the season.

We are fortunate enough to have some great sponsors helping us with this project. We plan on either Bub's or World Finals for our inauguration to the salt.

I will start early and say thank you to the many people I have bugged and chewed the fat with to glean as much knowledge as I can about our goals. Things are moving along really well right now. Chassis goes for raking on Monday.

Again, congrats John on a great 2004 and Rickster for her passes as well. Hope to see all of you soon.
