help with bottle mounting
« on: January 29, 2005, 09:31:44 AM »
the plan was..I got these 2 bottles cheap...they fit perfectly tucked in right below the rear tail..on both sides...I want to keep the angle the same as the slip-ons..so that makes the rear higher then the front.

If he has them running parallel to the exhaust cans, the valve should be to the rear of the bike with no siphon, or valve to the front with a siphon due to the nitrous moving to the rear of the bottle during acceleration.

I don't think there is room on the left side to mount inside the tail section.

same angle as the the pipes..just higher..on the outside.  valve to the rear ..i see your point about the nos sloshing back under throttle.

the angle wont be to bad...now that i looked at it again.. ..I have 2- 10 lb bottles to fill off of..if I have to keep them topped off..they were dirt cheap and I cant see hacking up the undertail..the way I was thinking is a bolt on .  kinda like this, i can raise the front by the peg about another 1"..that will help alot

I think if you put them between the airbox and tank they might build a little too much pressure.
