Blur- I'm in the process of waiting for him to tune by bike....He's a very busy guy these days...gotta wait in line for him to work on your bike. I'm starting to think he might not tune my bike because it might be faster than Miguel's Busa. It's already ran as fast as one of the 12R's he's tuned...and that 12R had a light head cleanup and cam timing adjustment... Mine is still untouched and running the same MPH as that 12R. Maybe I got a strong one?
Yes, we did have a lot of fun today, we have a lot of fun often. You should come down and ride with us one time....You still owe me that rematch. =)
oh, real world tuning is basically tuning your A/F ratio via a realtime datalogger that sniffs your a/f ratio and logs it while your riding in real world conditions with ram air and exact load being factored in. A dyno can not simulate these variables 100%...so they are generally not as accurate or as good for tuning as a realtime datalogger. Also, real world tuning relates to gearing, suspension, streamlining, and tires. You can tune a bike that makes 170rwhp on a dyno but runs like shit in the real world...or you can tune a bike in the real world that runs great yet doesn't make impressive #'s on a dyno.
For example, the Piped Busa I raced today and crushed by 10+ bikes in the 9/10th's was dynotuned by Jason at RPM...same place you get your work done. That bike ran like SHIT in the real world...yet put up some pretty 170rwhp #'s on Jason's dyno. If that bike had real world tuning...it would probably only make 167rwhp or so...but would run MUCH faster on the road. Which would you rather have? A pretty paper or a faster bike?
You've got to get into contact with THEICEMAN, he's the guy you need to talk to.
Hayazuki- I've been over 80mph in a Geo Metro......doesn't mean it's fast.
SLEEPERBUSA- I know ICEMAN doesn't run a stock airbox.... I also know he's not running the same airbox as you are.
