2003 never ending headache!
« on: March 06, 2005, 09:10:58 AM »
Here is my ongoing project (hope to have completed if there is such a thing my end of March) I cut the center stand mounts off of it and they turned out real nice. I also cut the third mount off the foot peg mount because of the rear sets im using. cleaned it up nice. The motor is just a 1397 same thing everybody builds good parts but not rocket science.

Looking good!
Where did you get the rear sets from?

You are going to powder coat those rear sets right?

I found another powder coater in the Kitzingen area where I used to live.  He is an American that got out and married a local national, he welds aluminum too.

Jerry, I think im gonna polish the edges of the rear sets and paint the rest black should really accent it. They are Team Mettise (will have to check spelling) I bought them here in Germany. Let me know the guys number or e-mail address that does powder coating and welding. There is a place here that does powder coating but I always look for different  and more user friendly people. Wish i would of known you were gonna have your wheels off i have a set with tires i could of let you use so you could roll yours around.Hopefully mine will be rideable by end of March. Ive been riding the harley people think im crazy theres still snow on the ground, but hey its all good

I'll email his info...

My swingarm & triple tree are being chromed too, so spare wheels wouldn't have helped.  BTW - I have another extra rear wheel again.

Can you get me some info on those rear-sets?  I'm shopping for a set.
Thanks, Jerry
