« on: March 13, 2005, 12:54:07 PM »
We had a good time at the races amongst friends, every time out
Phantom on his zx12  would run miguel on his busa, every week miguel
would pull 4 bikes on Phantom but run the same MPH, Miguel came by and wanted to go faster, so I showed him a few things told him how and why,
well the bottom line is Miguel picked up 2.5 MPH in 9/10's and went 189.5MPH with Phantom running 186 MPH.
He can no longer run the same speed and lost at 11-12 bike lenghts,
and even thou he lost he still had a smile and a hand shake for miguel.
he is a good sport!

Miguels Busa has pipe, pc3, and my custome real world map.
these runs done on Miguels busa with
Miguel vs phantom--------------------------------------------------  189.5mph
same bike with roli against another shop's bike-------------------192.2mph
Myself on miguel's bike, racing my friend just starting-------------195.6mph
I tuned my stock 02 s.e.busa in the real world, with the pc3 usb, it gives you the option to really fine tune a bike, bike ran great
in 9/10's  it did 189.6and 189.5 mph so I did not bother Phantom since miguel already put a hurtin on him.
Next week I am going to take a pass on phantoms bike and see what it has.
The  big zx12 owned by Alan is going to be tuned and ready to run next week, bike should have around 200 H.P. off the spray, it should run good, Alan said today he is going to take down all the busas out there ????
Shouldnt have said that, that was a direct challenge to alot of fast busas,
but thats what makes it fun !
Well I will be the first to see on my 187 H.P. 2000 red and gray,
Stock piston's and stock stroke.
All in good fun, when you talk the talk,
you better walk the walk.

RON- There have only been 2 Busa's that I've lost to out there...one being the Fastest Piped Busa out there and the other being ICEMAN on his sleeper stocker. Forgive me for not picking out all the lame Busa's out there for easy kills... Whenever I race a Busa with similar mods that hasn't been tuned or ridden by ICEMAN... I murder them. The AVERAGE piped, filtered, remapped Busa runs low 180's out there.... Miguel's Busa is that one EXCEPTIONALLY fast one that runs what most guys run with all his mods + cams and headwork.

I'm not trying to start another 10-page thread, I just want to get this straight!

What you are saying is you can't beat a "properly tuned Busa?"

So anything that isn't running right is FREE GAME but something that "IS" running right, doesn't count????    :duh:

I'm going to do a little HIJACKING here but....

Explain the 9/10's to me.  You never hear of it up where I live but I see you guys talking about it all the time.  I understand that you are going from a rolling start and the finish line is at 9/10's of a mile.  Here are my questions.

1.  How fast do you start the race at?
2.  Why not 1 mile, what's the 9/10's for.
3.  Just in case I want to set it up, how do you measure it out with a GPS or some bullshit with a car or whatever?
4.  I take it both bikes carry a GPS in order to do this?
5.  Is the winner determined by the top speed or the first across the line?

Man I feel like that fucking kid from Badder Santa.

phantom, i for one will not bash you or anything. you raced, lost and admitted it. you have a fast bike no doubt. i dont agree with everything you say of course, but it is cool you actually raced and had a good time. it is not always about winning, it is about meeting guys and having a good time and that is what you did.

Where's the video, in BOLD, splashed all over every bike site of phant getting his ass handed to him again...like he seems to enjoy posting when he puts one in the win column???? Camera not working again?? He beats a single Busa, proven by video, pisses his pants being internet movie producer, then where's his video of the ass end of the Hayabusa he can't touch??

ok so you start at 4000 RPMS, you said there is a pace bike I take it that means that bike will be at 4000RPMs since not all bikes will have the same speed:rpms.  On average how far are you from the point where you start your roll to the startin line?

As for the 9/10th's, I think despite my weight disadvantage.... I'll sing a different tune. This being that you guys have very limited experience at those sort of speeds and it's done from a roll, which takes away the advantage of your strip experience in comparison to mine.

Hopefully we can all still meet up sometime in the future, should make for a great weekend.

So now your 9/10th is a roll on?

Do it from a dig like they do at Maxton and see what your mph is with that weight disadvantage.

See you in Gville - GaBusa will be with us "slow" Jax cronies... 8)

Our rolls were (always at 15 mph) some of the guys start at 4,000 rpm
You can go 2 mph faster from a standing start 1 mile run.
When we leave our staging lanes you roll about 1/10 of a mile before you hit the marker, then you have 9/10's to run the race.
If you start from a dead stop at the staging lanes, by the time you get to the 1/10th marker you can be at 90-100 mph easy then you have a whole 9/10's to go, wich will give you a faster terminal speed at 1 mile.
