I have Yosh slip ons with the zyclone baffles and they are too quiet. Does anyone know how to modify them for a better sound. I emailed yoshimura 3 times to see if you could replace the baffles to no avail.

I don't want to jump in on your thread but I have the same question. I have a set of RS3 w/ zyclone baffles and they are quiet, my question is does anyone have the RS3 bolt ons with the RACE baffle instead of the ZYCLONE baffle and if so how loud are they?

I have one on my R1 and a friend has them on his busa with the race baffles. They sound really healthy and not too loud.

I've got the race baffles on mine.  Not extremely loud, not too quiet.  At idle, it's got a nice tone.  When you get on the throttle, I think it sounds great.  I've heard them both on the bike and standing while somebody else rode my bike and I was pleased with it.  It's no dump pipe, but hopefully that's in the future for me.

I had the RS-3 Titanium Race baffled slip ons on my other busa.  Really deep note.  Got really loud when you got on it.  Best sound imho.

The "zyclones" are crap in my opinion.  My friend has them on his and it sounds like a sewing machine.  It's all about what you like, I guess.

My suggestion, is trade them for some race baffled ones or pull the baffles completely out.

A friend of mines put a Yosh. RS-3 tri-oval on his and it took about 2000 miles before it started to sound like it had an aftermarket pipe on it. Give it some time and the sound will change.

how do you gut the pipes?  do you have to remap when you do this?

my bike has never seen a power comander yet. I have an aftermarket pipe (fully gutted) and TRE also with a foul #4 plug it still dyno'd at 156 to the rear
