I've seen people go both ways on this one...  I have a Speedohealer, and it works great.

Easy to install and setup, easy to calibrate and seems dead on when I check it with my GPS...

Gpt my SH direct from the factory.  I even spent less that way than going through a dealer.

Get a custom kit, tell him you want a harness that is longer than stock, like 50" and you can get it direct.

I save about $20 by doing it that way.

But they are in Hungary...no?  So how and whom did you contact, being in the USA?
Shipping and extra length still saved you $$$?

I was quoted 79.99 for a SH with the suzuki kit.....locally.

All of you guys are making a lot of sense. Looks like the (Soh) is plug & & play but what about the (YB) and how easy is it to dial both in? I'm going to buy one or the other depending on all of your experiences. (listen more save money) kinda like (measure twice cut once) I think I will order one of them on Monday so keep it coming.

Thanks guys

I have a custom SH kit that I bought direct from the company and paid $104 TYD.  It has the extra cable length and programmed delay for showing max speed.  Also, has a remote plug to allow you to check while riding.  Pretty nice setup and very nice customer service.  Ordered direct from SpeedoHealer.  If you have other questions you can e-mail them at info@speedohealer.com.

Why Speedohhealer and not GPS?

Isn't GPS has more features, that includes speed?

the length allows you locate the SH under the rear seat.....and the remote button runs all the run up front (if you like) for an easy recall of your highest speed.

The SH & YB are items that allow for correction fo the FACTORY instruments.

A GPS requires a mount...space...and batteries (usually).

The funny thing was that the "dealer" that was advertised on here as having a great price wanted more in shipping than direct from speedohealer themselves........

SH has very complete intructions....and also the online(or offline too) calculator is there to help.
just use a reliable method to measure your speed  /  get a reading from your gauges / calulate the difference and input that number into the calculator.  Then simply follow the instructions for setting the switches.
Your first time might take an hour....from start to finish.

on my 05 there is one plug on the back of the guages......the SH goes no where near it.......the SH  instruction tell what plug to use....if you got the Suzuki specific model.
forget gearing....forget the guages.....and follow the tips I gave above.

just do the math from actual vs. indicated.

You did raise one point tho...I am looking at some 99 guages....and I need to find out if this is going to be compatible.....setting it isn't an issue....just making sure it will work.    hmm

Just put my speedo healer on today and it was a snap. Pulled left fairing, plugged into speedo pickup. Ran wires and unit to under back seat. Downloaded calibration instructions online and followed them. Start to finish less than an hour.

I have a yyellow box on my busa and no problems. I don't know if this is a problem that a busa would ever encounter, but a friend of mine whom i helped to install a speedohealer on his '04 R1 has had odd problems with the thing freaking out mid-ride and displaying no speed at all. We are pretty sure that it is heat-related, because the SH is under his seat and it gets really hot under there with the exhaust. On hot days is when it seems to freak out, and after it cools it is fine. Again, I don't think that a busa would encounter this, nor do I know if a yellow box would fix it.  I have a speedo healer on my '02 GSXR 600, but I just thought I would mention it because I know lots of people here have more than one bike.

I got the speedohealer and it calibrated perfect. you have to input all stock stuff and mods like stock sprocket 17 front and 40 rear and 16/42. And it will calibrate it for you on the website and then tell you how to program the speedohealer should take you 10 minutes to install and 5minutes to program. Here is the website click on setup and then online calculator
