if u put a yellowbox or speedo healer, will it show the comewhat correct speed.

also question.
if u was to redo the setting on the speedo healer or yellow box  the "other" way, say 15% off, i mean that u would be doing actual 200mph but your speedo would be reading 150mph. would that "override" the limiter? or is this possible?
just curious

It doesn't work that way on Suzuki's.

Suzuki's speed limiter is based on engine rpm in 6th gear. On restricted models, the revlimiter cuts in at a lower rpm, limiting speed. A TRE de-restricts the top speed by essentially making the bike think it's in 5th gear all the time, thus allowing the engine to run to redline in 6th gear. However, it will only hit redline in 6th with more power, or lower gearing.

Kawasaki's speed limiter can be bypassed, by setting a Yellow Box so the speedo reads low, thus allowing them to go faster than the speed limiter, if the bike has the power to do so.

thanks for the info.

thinking of getting a tre just for the top-end bypass. bike is all stock tho
