Dave rode Guy's bike and set a record (or several, not sure).

Here are some pics from Sunday:

http://dontbescaredracing.com/ecta/052905

I have more pics from the top-end coming this week from a friend's camera.  Will post them as soon as they are edited down to size.

Here is one that I took of LEE going two fiddy.X

Bergie,

Thx for the props....glad I could help!!!! You guys made real good progress on that bike.......Was a pleasure!

My bike ran a couple of passes with 215 exit speeds early Saturday..but unfortunately the entrance speeds were off...Painting the rims did not help...

Thankfully Keith and Joe T. were on it and lowered the lights at my request for Sunday...The lowered lights worked perfect on both Guy's bike and mine....

I reset two  gas records (both mine) in the 213's Sunday....the small headwind and heat slowed me a couple of mph. The bike ran well and only made one pass under 210 all weekend(209 I think).

Lee was running 252-253 on Rich's bike....spinning the tire...What a ride..

Steves bike looked awesome...and should be a serious runner when dialed in...

Lee and Don brought a beautiful Blue Busa. It had a very strong 1397 engine done by Lee's...and a 50 shot on it...Set up 1st rate as always from those guys....It went high 208 on motor....and 213 on spray first "SHOT".....Real nice job Don/Lee!!! The ZX10 they brought ran 188 I think....

Guy's bike made a great 1st pass...he struggled with the lights on Sat also...He has made a bunch of significant changes since last season...real nice setup...We were discussing tuneups and he asked me to ride it...I had my leathers on in 5 seconds...LOL...Twist my arm Guy.....

I made 3 passes on it, and set two records....my first pass I FORGOT to hit the "button" until WAY late...

2nd pass we had probs with the siphon tubes and I went 203 on motor...nice..

3rd pass It came together nicely....and set a NICE record in an APS class...

Being the standup "GUY" that he is.....I got to ride his bike, set TWO records....and  GOT A CHECK FOR $100 FROM TIGER RACING!!!!! NICE!

I will tell you this.....after riding Guy's bike on a "mild" tuneup......There is NO WAY my motor bike with a 40 shot is going to touch it...When you hit the juice on his setup......IT HAULS...

Great job everyone.....and thanx for the ride Guy...and the $$$$...LOL

DaveO ran a 221 and I think a 217. The 217 took out one of Scott Guthries records and the 221 took out Jim Owens record. Both of them on the "Tiger". Dave was able to give me an incrediable amount of feedback regarding gearing and a different feel for what is happening. What made it nice for me was I was able to be in the tower at the line and watch the bike and listen to the motor each run. It was worth it. My apologies to Wayne Pollack who also wanted a ride, but we ran out of juice. (That was my excuse). Anyways, congratulations to DaveO for riding the "Tiger" to 2 new /Fuel records and winning the Tiger Racing challenge taking home an additional $100 for coming within 5mph of the track nitrous record (mine). Now that's really fun, I post the reward and then have someone use my own bike to win it. Call me crazy.

It was a great weekend and we learned a ton. I'm thinking that Alky is in my future if I am to ever get near 230. Sounds like a new drink, I'll have an alky and juice please! Wayne, this will serve as my public announcement. You will have the glory of riding the "Tiger" on it's inaugural run on Alky if we decide to put it on for October.

Hey Bergie, how fast did my tether switch end up going?

I want to give a tip o' the hat to Dave O, and to Snart Racing. Both were
willing to loan me a damper to satisfy tech, but we couldn't get one
mounted. Only trip down the track was on my bicycle. P.F.S.

DT has your kill switch and should have removed it to return it to you already, PM me for his cell number if you do not have it back by the end of the week.  Thanks again for loaning it to David, without it he would not have been able to run!  172.5xx is all the CBR would do, that's without flapper valve, no filters, removed seat, VP fuel, and 42 psi in the tires.  He didn't prep properly and did not have the correct gearing, that was +1 on the rear over stock, he did not have the stock sprocket or -1 / -2 to test with.   Maybe next time.  Although somehow I think the next time I see him he will be on a new '05 GSXR1000!

Non-eventful slow, 172.5XX MPH, still had fun, thanks DT for the free ride.

Some people have been to Maxton a dozen times and never actually seen the finish line because at 200+ MPH you can't really see it very clearly, usually an orange blurrr

Dave O. rolling out!  215 MPH naturally aspirated.    :)

Those pics are unreal! How do those car guys squeeeeze
through the traps at 2000?     Looks
about 15' wide. That weedy surface is crazy, guess they fill
in the holes and cracks. :P  :P

Bergie, I've been thru the traps at 207+ on a busa and know what ya mean, but I can also tell where the paint is missing on the timing lights on my ironhead - lol
Sorry I missed ya at the track... tunnel vision ya know?

If I have time this weekend I might throw up some new helmet cam video and some on-board video when Lee went 200 on his GSXR1000 last season.  Hell I still have video to capture for VH from last year!

Glad you guys enjoyed the pics.  I didn't get as many as usual, it's hard to snap photos and ride and help out others all at the same time.  I do what I can do, when I can do it, and that's all I can do!
