5000 r.p.m. dead spot
« on: November 06, 2002, 11:22:00 PM »
I have a 2001 stock with 16,000 miles on it and have recently been having a problem around 5000 r.p.m. in 1st and 2nd gear. It just feels like it loses power until around 6500 r.p.m. then seems to get it back again. I wonder if anyone has any ideas. I took the tre off to see if that was it but didn't make any diff. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have a Power Commander installed? If so, bypass it temporarily to see if you have the same issue with just the stock ECM connected. If that clears up the problem, reconnect the Power Commander and try redownloading your map. If you still have problems, try downloading the zero map. If you still have problems with the zero map installed, sounds like your Power Commander has a problem. Let us know how you make out.
